Not sure how to Zoom? Online shopping not your bag? You need FREE One-to-One Covid secure IT/Technology support sessions for older people at The Engine Room, Bridgwater

Are you aged over 50?
Do you need help to set up Zoom so you can stay in touch with family and friends? Are you struggling with online shopping?

The highly experienced and skilled team at Bridgwater’s Engine Room are offering FREE 1-hour long one-to-one technical support sessions throughout September on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s between 10am and 5pm.

They’re urging anyone aged over 50 who may need support with using technology such as sending an email, finding information or downloading a film, to make an appointment with their technical team.

This is an excellent opportunity for those who may have found technology a challenge during lockdown or those looking to improve their digital literacy. Participants are encouraged to bring their own device. However, the Engine Room will gladly offer one of their devices for use on the day.

“We knew that there were people out there who had been needlessly frustrated and isolated during lockdown. With such an enthusiastic and technically savvy team, we know that we can help”, says assistant producer Alisa Čengić.

The Engine Room has taken thorough steps to ensure the safety of their staff and service users. Covid-secure measures include social distancing aided by use of projection and other technology. Equipment will be cleaned between each session and all staff members will wear PPE and have their temperature measured regularly.

If you feel you could benefit from this offer, don’t hesitate to call 01278 433 187 to book. The Engine Room is located at 52 High Street, Bridgwater TA6 3BL.
